About Me

I’ve been hooked on computers since the age of 12. Back then, it wasn’t just about playing games — it was about figuring out how they worked and how to make them work for me. I’d spend hours poking around, trying to understand how I could push the limits. My first "breakthrough"? Hacking games to give myself more lives. Reaching 99 lives felt like having unlimited power. Looking back, it’s clear that’s where my love for practical problem-solving in tech truly began.

This passion for figuring things out grew stronger, and soon I was knee-deep in programming. It wasn’t just about coding for the sake of it — it was about finding smart, efficient ways to make computers do the heavy lifting. I’ve carried that same mindset throughout my career.

Fast forward to today, and I’m a seasoned IT consultant with nearly 30 years of experience under my belt — 25 of those as a freelance consultant. I’ve had the privilege of working with a range of companies, from startups to large enterprises, tackling everything from microservice architectures to large-scale platform overhauls. My approach is simple: get things done, avoid unnecessary complexity, and always keep the end goal in sight.

I’ve also had the opportunity to create and grow my own startup. As a co-founder of Qtree, I played a pivotal role in building a SaaS platform called Boabee, which we successfully sold to one of our competitors. This experience taught me the full cycle of bringing a product from concept to acquisition.

Another unique project in my career was developing an aviation drone control system for Dassault Aviation in the late '90s — back when drones weren’t exactly something you could pick up on the internet. It was a forward-thinking project that pushed the boundaries of what was possible at the time and remains one of the more memorable highlights of my career.

My work has also taken me to roles like IT Architect at DPG Media, a leading streaming platform hosting multiple brands. I was responsible for driving the development of new features and modernizing platform components. I’m passionate about helping businesses move from "big ideas" to working, maintainable solutions.

But it’s not all work. I’m also a father and a sports fanatic. I’m passionate about bicycling (road, mountain, gravel, and commute), padel, skiing, and snowboarding. The same drive I have for efficient problem-solving extends to my personal life — whether it’s cheering on my kids or pushing my own limits on the field. For me, it’s all about progress and results.

Through IT-Minded, I’m creating a space to share my journey, not just as a consultant but as someone who’s seen (and solved) a lot of real-world IT challenges. After a few years of absence, I’ve revived IT-Minded. With the help of AI, I’ve started actively programming again, seizing the opportunity to share my thoughts, experiment with interactive components, and reach out to the world — all while having fun along the way. I’ll be sharing honest thoughts on tech, AI, and the future of IT. No fluff, no over-complications — just practical insights from a career built on making things work.
